Kostal Jnr Nets First Senior Wildcats Goal

Kostal Jnr Nets First Senior Wildcats Goal
17-year-old forward Jan Kostal Jnr marked a special moment last weekend as he scored his first senior goal for the Swindon Wildcats against the Basingstoke Bison.

The Czech forward has come through the Wildcats’ junior system, following in the footsteps of his father, Jan Kostal, who first joined Swindon in the 2013/14 season.

Kostal Snr went on to become a huge part of the Wildcats’ history, captaining the club for five seasons and establishing himself as a true Wildcats legend.

Now, his son is beginning to make his own mark in Swindon colours.

Jan Kostal Jnr featured for the Wildcats 2’s throughout last season, gaining valuable experience and continuing his development before earning a two-way opportunity with the Wildcats’ NIHL side this season.

That opportunity has now produced a memorable first senior goal, with the 17-year-old finding the net against the Bison on Saturday.

It was a fantastic moment for Jan and his family, as he continues to follow his own path while carrying on a special Wildcats connection.

With his first senior goal now under his belt, there is plenty more to come from Kostal Jnr, with a bright future ahead in Swindon colours.
