Leo Bacallao Named NIHL Player of the Week

The American forward, who joined the Raiders this summer ahead of his first season in the UK, made an immediate impact during his debut weekend, recording eight points across two games against the Peterborough Phantoms.

Bacallao impressed in his first appearances in British ice hockey before producing a standout display on Sunday, scoring four goals in the Raiders’ victory.

With NIHL teams taking to the ice for the first pre-season fixtures of the 2026/27 campaign, Bacallao quickly caught the eye, showing his offensive quality and ability to make a difference in front of goal.

After making the move across the Atlantic this summer, the forward has already hit the ground running and given Raiders supporters plenty to be excited about heading into the new season.

Congratulations to Leo on a superb start to life in the NIHL and on being named Player of the Week.
